Another Way to Defer your Property Taxes

If you are facing financial hardship due to the current economic conditions you may be able to defer your property tax for 2009 and 2010. There are a few conditions such as you must have lived in BC for at least one year and you must have at least 15% equity in your home. Other than that, the process is quite simple.

April Sales Soar

What's up with our local Real Estate market?

Just a few months ago the news was full of gloom and doom. Now, even the press is speculating that things may be rebounding. I don't have a crystal ball so I can't tell you with any certainty what is going to happen next month. But, I can tell you that April's sales were just about equal to April 2008 - before the bottom fell out of the market. I do believe that low interest rates, pent up demand, and the realization that the sky isn't falling are all helping people decide to buy a home or move up to a larger home. With prices still well down from last year, this could turn out to be the time to buy.
