Over the last 30 days, 177 single family houses were sold, up by 23 houses from last week. The median price is down $1,500 to $576,000. The average house was on the market for 58 days. Many more houses are selling each week than in December. It is also clear that house prices are climbing slowly, even though there was a slight drop this week. The overall price increase is not significant in size, but it has been consistent since the beginning of January.
In the same time period, 112 condos were sold, up by 26 condos from last week. The median price is down $1,750 to $289,750. The average condo was on the market for 56 days. Prices for condos are still relatively steady, fluctuating up and down. However, sales volume is starting to pick up, which could lead to future price increases.
There are now 1,396 houses for sale, up by 76 from last week. Condo inventory has risen by 51 to 828 suites.
